  很高興地宣布Giant期刊正式創(chuàng)刊。Giant是一本聚焦基礎(chǔ)和應(yīng)用高分子科學(xué)的開(kāi)源跨學(xué)科學(xué)術(shù)期刊,涵蓋化學(xué)、物理、生物和材料等學(xué)科。

 

  “在大分子科學(xué)和技術(shù)跨進(jìn)第二個(gè)百年的時(shí)刻,Giant適時(shí)創(chuàng)刊,一方面為慶祝大分子科學(xué)的蓬勃發(fā)展,另一方面也為收集和分享軟物質(zhì)學(xué)科的最新研究成果提供一個(gè)平臺(tái)。從2017年開(kāi)始,我們每年組織軟物質(zhì)科學(xué)國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)研討會(huì),討論軟物質(zhì)科學(xué)中的新興概念、新方向和最新應(yīng)用。現(xiàn)在,我很高興與相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的頂尖科研人員一起為高分子學(xué)科帶來(lái)這份新期刊。” --程正迪,Giant期刊主編。

  Giant涵蓋大分子化學(xué)、超分子組裝、多尺度和多功能材料、有機(jī)-無(wú)機(jī)雜化材料、生物物理學(xué)、仿生學(xué)和表面科學(xué)等領(lǐng)域。期刊核心主題包括從大分子的合成、表征以及組裝的新方法,到具有特定性質(zhì)及均一尺寸的精密大分子,到多維尺寸的納米材料的設(shè)計(jì)和組裝,再到具有多尺度可調(diào)節(jié)性能的智能或生物材料的研究。該期刊旨在為大分子學(xué)科的發(fā)展帶來(lái)獨(dú)特的包容性視角,并為大分子學(xué)科中新概念,尤其是對(duì)不斷擴(kuò)展的新型大分子結(jié)構(gòu),以及大分子系統(tǒng)基本共有特征的新理解提供討論平臺(tái)。

We are delighted to announce the launch of Giant, an interdisciplinary open access journal focusing on fundamental and applied macromolecular science spanning all of chemistry, physics, biology, and materials.

 “This is a timely launch to celebrate the expansion of macromolecular science and to collect and share the very latest global research on soft matter. We launched the international symposium for soft matter science and technology in 2017 to cover emerging concepts, new directions and the latest applications. I am now excited to work with leading scientists in the field to bring this new journal to the community.” Stephen Cheng (Editor-in-Chief, Giant)  

Key areas covered include macromolecular chemistry, supramolecular assembly, multiscale and multifunctional materials, organic-inorganic hybrid materials, biophysics, biomimetics and surface science. Core topics range from developments in synthesis, characterization and assembly towards creating uniformly sized precision macromolecules with tailored properties, to the design and assembly of nanostructured materials in multiple dimensions, and further to the study of smart or living designer materials with tunable multiscale properties. The journal seeks to bring an alternative, inclusive perspective on macromolecules and serves as a platform for discussions around emerging concepts in macromolecular science, with emphasis on the ever-expanding scope of new macromolecular architectures and the new understanding of the underlying common features of macromolecular systems.
