In developing lower rolling resistance passenger car tires,manufacturers have reduced tire weight from prior models.Tires #1 and #1C with 100-phr Bromobutyl rubber innerliners have the lowest IPR values. New polymer liner technologies are being used to reduce Tire IPR values
from respective prior models. Rolling resistance force and coefficient values are notably reduced for tires manufactured with new polymer liner and lighter weight technologies. |
