The quality of the precursor has a primary influence on the quality of the carbon fiber. Residual Dimethyl
Sulfoxide (DMSO) in PAN precursor can result in structural defects and thus low fiber tensile strength. In
order to improve the traditional method of washing PAN Precursor, ultrasonic technology is adopted in this study. The new technology is proved highly effective in removing DMSO in PAN precursor. |
